In the first days of their lives, Rocky, Chip and Brownie looked very much alike. Over time, the puppies developed a completely different appearance, so much so that it became almost impossible to imagine that they are brothers!
The 3 brothers were barely a week old when they arrived at the shelter Helping Hands Humane Society of Topekato United States. Their mother had not survived her birth. Small and fragile, the puppies received the necessary attention and care from the volunteers.

rocky, chips and Brownies were in the beginning almost inseparable. But over time they each developed their own personalities and physically looked less and less alike.
“It was when they were 3 weeks old that we started to see their differences” Explain Emi Griessmember of the crisis centre, at The Dodo. “Brownie’s fur was longer and silkier, Rocky’s was coarser, and Chip still looked like a baby Chihuahua.“

A popular trio
When they were only 2 months old, it became impossible to imagine that the 3 puppies came from the same litter, they were so different! The members of the shelter did not hesitate to share this unusual fact on social networks, enough to make hundreds of Internet users crack up.
Besides meeting this success online, the puppies did not have to wait long before they were adopted. They were met by other shelter members and this closeness allowed them to keep seeing each other from time to time.
A mystery that needed to be solved
The new owners of the puppies wanted to know why their appearance was so different. They then had them do DNA tests and they will discover that the 3 brothers are actually from multi-racial crosses.
