A fine reward for the Countess of Wessex. This Monday, December 5, the English tabloid Hi! found the flight of Sophia of Wessex against the United States Saturday, December 3. She went to Georgetown University on Monday to receive, accompanied by Ukrainian First Lady Olena Zelenska, The 2022 Hillary Rodham Clinton Award, which recognizes her work in favor of women’s rights.
It is the countess who is not in the habit of mincing words known for his commitment to the fight against violence against women and is a real support in programs created by the UN, such as that of peace and security for women, or the fight against sexual violence in conflicts. Recently she also paid a visit to London on this subject which upset her.

Since the death of Elizabeth II, Wessex has taken the lead in the British company. Although they were denied by Charles III a prestigious title that had been promised them, it appears that the new monarch gives them the same trust that the late queen gave them. Thus they were able to represent the crown under Royal Variety Performance the 1st of December, a privilege normally reserved for Princess Kate and Prince William.
However, everything has not always been easy for the king’s brother and his sister-in-law. The day before her marriage to the prince, Sophia of Wessex had to overcome a friend’s painful betrayal. Also the victim of a trap by a journalist a few years later, she spent a long time regaining the trust of Queen Elizabeth II and the British. But due to work and self-sacrifice, she ends up getting there as she is considered in the final years of the queen’s life just like “second daughter” which she never had. The Queen will even advise her to Meghan Markle, to help her enter the ranks of the British family, a help that Meghan Markle had then rejected.
