When a black bear approached his property, this cat didn’t run away. On the contrary, he went to meet the beast and was very brave!
When cats feel threatened by a dog, human or any other source of stress, they tend to run away. But when tiger found himself face to face with a very dangerous animal and much larger than him, he did not bat an eyelid. He preferred to defend his property and his master and showed great courage. A story told by North Shore News.
“Oh my god, this bear is going to eat my cat”
Gavin Sturrock is the owner of tiger, a 2-year-old Bengal cat. Both live at North Vancouverto Canada. In June, when Gavin was loading his car to go camping, he was stunned when he opened the door to his house. On his landing was a black bear. And this one faced tiger.

Gavin had never seen a bear venture so close to a property, but his trash cans had been knocked over the day before, and the wild animal had probably had something to do with it. In shock, the owner of tiger thought “Oh my god, this bear is going to eat my cat”.
A heroic act
After calling his cat several times to come into the house, Gavin found he had the upper hand over the bear. That’s when he started filming the scene.

Arched back, straight hair, tiger walked with a determined and frightening step towards the bear. The latter was visibly scared as he preferred to turn and run away.

Although he was impressed by his cat’s courage, Gavin not so surprised. The feline had already had the opportunity to show dominant behavior. But this time his action was purely heroic!
