A stray, pregnant cat did not hesitate to approach a woman in the hope of getting her help.
Katy is a volunteer for a cat shelter located in the northeastern part of Philadelphiato United States. One day, on her way to work, she came across a stray cat. Out of habit, she couldn’t help but visit her to find out if she was in good health. But no sooner had she squatted than the cat came to her.

The cat was at the end of pregnancy
“I crouched down, held out my hand, and it came straight to me“, told Katy to lovemeow. Very quickly, the volunteer noticed that the cat was pregnant. Her big belly left no doubt. The cat allowed herself to be petted, but not caught. Gold, Katy did not have a trap, transport cage or food on it. However, she wanted to allow the cat to give birth safely, away from the street.

Katy recorded the fuss for almost an hour
For help, Katy therefore contacted the association in which she volunteers.”I managed to occupy [la chatte] for more than an hour while we waited for help”, she testified. When help arrived, the cat, which was baptized Priscillawas captured and placed in Katy in a host family. She threw herself at the food as if she had been missing it for days.
Two days later the cubs were born
Priscilla was able to find help just in time. In fact, only two days after arriving at Katy, she began to show signs of labor. She ate little, was restless and meowed a lot. During the night, 6 kittens were born, in full health.
Priscilla took her role as a mother very seriously, so much so that she forgot to eat and preferred to nurse her little ones. Fortunately, Katy was there to tend the grain and feed the cat from her basket.
After a couple of days, Priscilla took some rest. She has adapted perfectly to her new life as an indoor cat and greatly appreciates her adoptive mother’s caresses. “I’m sure she will make a great pet when her babies are grown“, said Katy. As for the little ones, they will know the sweetness of a home without ever having set foot on the street!
