Edward is a ginger cat who was abandoned by his masters in Prince Rupertto Canada. For more than a week, he was seen repeatedly wandering the streets like a lost soul. When people finally managed to catch him, they discovered that he was suffering from a large facial wound that required immediate treatment.

A call for donations to treat Edward

That Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals of British Columbia (BC SPCA) took care of the little one Edward. They immediately did what was necessary to treat the cat. “Luckily we were able to get him to an emergency vet the same day he arrived.“, said Joe Griffithan employee in BC SPCA.

To cover the ginger cat’s medical expenses, the shelter has launched a call for donations. They hoped to receive 1700 euros, but the matter ofEdward strongly moved Internet users, so that the prize pool reached 11,500 euros. Other animals in the shelter will therefore be able to benefit from this great generosity.

Monitoring for 5 weeks

Wounded byEdward was cleaned and properly treated but required extensive monitoring. For 5 weeks, Edward remained under observation, receiving daily care to prevent infection of his lesion.

Other tests were also done, especially to diagnose feline ringworm. Edward has also been vaccinated, wormed and will be neutered.

The cat is now happy and he”looking forward to her morning treats“, as reported CTV News. Edwardloves nothing more than to chat and hang out while he gets his wound treated.

When the cat is fully recovered, it can be adopted by a loving home.
