An angry community gathered, Thursday, July 14, 2022, in front of Asian Delights restaurant in Saint-Léonardclose to Fecamp. The establishment has been ransacked. On Monday, a restaurant employee was found dead, stabbed. The managers and another employee were indicted for this murder.
Strong emotion in the Tibetan community
Since the tragedy, emotion has been strong in the Tibetan community, from which the 32-year-old man who was fatally stabbed originated.
Thursday afternoon, many people came, mainly from Paris, to denounce what they consider to be a racist crime in front of the restaurant in Saint-Léonard.
On the spot, the anger turned to the rampage. A car was overturned in the parking lot and the restaurant windows were destroyed.
A white march is planned in Paris, place de la Bastille, Sunday at 11 a.m., to pay tribute to the victim of this homicide.
As a reminder, yesterday, the two restaurant managers and an employee were indicted for intentional homicide and placed in pre-trial detention. “None recognizes the facts”, told us the public prosecutor of Le Havre Bruno Dieudonné. The racist motive is not retained for the time being. The instruction continues.
