are the Clippers ready to steal it from the Lakers?

Myles Turner had hinted himself that he would be a good recruit for the Lakers a few days ago. Rob Pelinka appears to be in no rush to act despite his team’s disastrous start, and he could see one of his targets slip away from under his nose and join… the next door.

According to Bleacher Report’s Eric Pincus, the Los Angeles Clippers have targeted Myles Turner for a trade and are considering signing him before the February deadline. We get the impression that poor Turner has been on the trading block for 3 years, but the start seems closer than ever given the stakes we know in the tank race.

The Indiana Pacers have gotten off to a strong start to the season, in the wake of Tyrese Haliburton, Benedict Mathurin ET Turner, who is averaging 17.9 points and 8.7 rebounds, his two best marks in the NBA at the moment, but also 3.1 blocks per game.

It remains to be seen what the Clippers can offer to pressure the Pacers into giving them Myles Turner. As a reminder, he is at the end of his contract at the end of the season, and Indiana obviously does not want to lose them without the slightest consideration. A deal would likely involve a number of future draft rounds to help the franchise build a war chest.
