On Sunday, December 4, 2022, the motorcyclists of the B.Mo de la Rivière-St-Louis carried out a flow control on the Cilaos road, with the main objective of checking safety equipment and the behavior of 2.RM pilots on this axis very busy during the weekend.
During this operation, the pilot of a motorcycle was checked with an unprecedented blood alcohol level (0.38 Mg/l) and without having signed an insurance contract on his machine. 2.RM was immediately seized.
During this weekend 05 2.RM pilots were intercepted for addictive driving. Since the beginning of the year, 30 people have died on the island’s roads in the gendarmerie zone. 12 pilots were 2.RM pilots.
