Eggnog, America’s go-to holiday drink

If you ask Canadians and Americans what’s on their Christmas table, they’ll probably say turkey, gingerbread, beef, candy canes, or maybe walnut.pecan pie. But if there’s one staple they all agree on, it’s eggnog. This dessert, which has been around since the 19th century and translates to eggnog, is relatively unknown on the old continent.

The most important thing to remember is that no chicken was harmed in making this delicious dessert as it contains none. And to do this, Antoine from the American merchant Real McCoy came to give us a hand. For your aprons!

Sugar, spices and lots of goodies

The ingredients for eggnog are quite simple, as is its preparation. Fresh eggs, sugar, some spices (cinnamon and nutmeg), a pinch of salt and, above all, milk (but not from chicken, we remind you)! You can also add rum or whiskey to the dessert.

Once it’s all gathered in a bowl, a blender (or a whisk if you have a strong wrist) will be the final touch before dipping your lips into the dessert. Obviously (or not), your prettiest Christmas sweater is a must!
