Hérault: start-ups will fly to Las Vegas to take off in the US

From 5 to 8 January 2023, AD’OCCthe agency for economic development of Occitanie region, arranges the increasingly traditional excursion to USA regional start-ups in the other city that never sleeps… This year, for the inevitable Consumer Electronics Show (CES) of Vegaswhich allows French start-ups to gain a foothold in the large North American market, 26 Occitan companies digital will be present.

Occitanie, the land of innovation

An important delegation for a region classified in French top 5 in terms ofdigital innovationand which will be accompanied by Carol Delga. Thanks to CES, the largest international trade fair dedicated to technological innovation, the president of the Occitanie region intends to enable start-ups that create employment in the area faster access to the international.

“I wanted to be by their side this year to promote the unique ecosystem we have in Occitanie and to develop the potential of our companies and their innovations”, explains the president: “The challenges are many: to help our companies gain visibility and accelerate their international development, but also to convince new partners and companies to come and settle in Occitanie”.

Stand out in Las Vegas

For the elected official, the issue is crucial for the sector: “We must allow regional startups to stand out among the 2,000 exhibitors from around the world at this annual high mass of technological innovation”. Carole Delga, in addition to CES 2023, does not hide her ambitions in the economic field: “I want to go further and make Occitania a leader in the innovative economy by doubling the number of regional startups, i.e. 100 creations per year.

Four start-up companies receive an award

For this 2023 edition, thirteen companies from Occitanie will exhibit at Eureka Park, the heart of the American fair dedicated to the most innovative and relevant solutions, while 13 other start-ups will be present in other pavilions. Occitanie will undoubtedly be examined at this show: this year four regional start-ups, A Capela, Odaptos, I-Percut and AllPRIv will receive a “CES Innovation Award”, a record for the region.


The 26 Hérault companies participating in CES 2023:

At Eureka Park:
Adaptos (Montpellier). Sector: trade.
This start-up helps companies learn the emotions of their users to improve their digital products using artificial intelligence. Its innovative approach focuses on the in-depth analysis of the interviewee’s behavioral and sentimental information. Thanks to AI, it analyzes facial recognition as well as natural language processing.

Other pavilions:
AllPRiv(Montpellier). Sector: cyber security.
Allpriv provides cyber security to large companies and governments, enabling their employees to work anywhere under the same secure conditions as in the office. Allpriv has designed an innovative solution to address the lack of cyber security in medical devices.
Winner of a CES Innovation Awards – Digital Health Category

Synox (Montpellier). Sector: mobility
Synox is an IoT integrator and publisher of IoT solutions, project facilitator for the Internet of Things. The start-up especially supports the digital transformation of companies and local communities with the aim of increasing their operational expertise, offering new value-creating services and creating savings.

Business area (Montpellier). Sector: business.
This Montpellier start-up operates in a specific area: the creation and management of new generation co-working spaces.

Teola (Béziers). Sector: mobility.
The Biterroise start-up is developing a live show mobile application. She has created an application and platform that “digitizes word of mouth” by allowing businesses to animate their communities live.
