That is certainly the beautiful story of these holidays Toussaint on Fort-Mahon-Plage (Somme).
ONE couple from the Paris region who stayed this summer in coastal town lost her cat, Blanche, on July 18, 2022.
Despite a lot many searches and various calls, their cat had not been found. And it is with a heavy heart that they decided to take the road to the orphaned return of their pet.
More than three months later, a simple phone call gave them back their zest for life. On the line, Sabine Michaelthe creator ofassociation of free cats of Fort-Mahon-Plagethat tells them their cat has been found.
It is quite unusual to have found it. This was made possible because their pets were chipped. Identification is what saved her.
The people responsible for the association went to a vet, who was able to identify the cat and very easily find the masters’ address.
In general, it is easier to trace the owner of a dog than a cat. They are more regularly chipped. When an animal is not tattooed or chippedit is always very complicated to find your masters.
The cat that had gone missing on the Quend road was found in the rue de l’Yser.
“A sociable cat goes to people,” says Sabine Michael. That’s what happened to Blanche.
Lost in the rue de l’Yser, she was found at Royon campsite, which way. Or a journey of thirty minutes on foot for a human.
“Three months on the street, which inevitably leaves its mark, agrees the chairman of the association. She is generally in good health, but she is emaciated and suffers from some ear damage. This is what happens to a cat that has been outside for a long time time”.
We can easily imagine the joy of its owners when they heard the good news.
“They live above Paris,” explains Sabine Michel. They had three hours away. They came the next day. They were very happy”.
A story that ends well, but confirms that identification for an animal is essential. The proof!
