Kodak Black Arrested: Lawyer Calls for Third Party to Test Alleged Drugs Found by Police

Kodak Black’s attorney wants an independent party to inspect the substances found by police in the rapper’s recent arrest.

Black’s lawyer wants fair justice

The lawyer of Kodak Black, Bradford Cohen, filed a petition. He would like the alleged drugs seized by police during the rapper’s recent arrest in Florida to be inspected by an independent party. According to documents obtained by Radar Online, Cohen claims that third-party testing is “essential” for a fair hearing.

“It is impossible … to explore a defense in the name of [Kodak] without being able to independently inspect, weigh and test substances,” said Cohen. The fight of the latter is for his client to have the right to fair justice. Protections granted to him by the Sixth and Fourteenth Amendments to the United States Constitution and the Florida Constitution.

Although he was released $75,000 bail, Black still faces two counts. One for possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and the other for trafficking. He was found in possession of 31 oxycodone pills and $74,960 in cash at a traffic stop in Fort Lauderdale last Friday.

“Never judge a case on the basis of an arrest”, said Cohen initially after the arrest. We are therefore waiting for the outcome of the story to have the end word.
