British Prime Minister Liz Truss may be in the midst of political turmoil, but Larry continues to do his job as usual. The cat tenant of 10 Downing Street, London, was recently filmed kicking a fox out of his street, reports France News.
In a video shared on October 10 on the cat’s Twitter account, the Prime Minister’s roommate is seen chasing a skinny and fearful fox from the area around 10 Downing Street. Filmed by CCTV cameras, the extract was a great success with the British. The footage has been viewed 5.9 million times and even aired on television.
Foxes more visible than before in London
Larry has lived at 10 Downing Street since 2011. Arrived during David Cameron’s mandate, he has the official title of “chief mouser” of the house. The cat has then seen Theresa May, Boris Johnson, and Liz Truss parade since September. Already seen in the middle of a fight with Palmerston, the cat from the neighboring Foreign Office, Larry obviously doesn’t like foxes either.
The British capital has around 10,000 of these canines in its streets and parks. With the concreting of streets and wastelands and the better maintenance of green spaces, foxes are increasingly visible to residents, but represent absolutely no danger to humans.
