UPDATE ON DELIVERIES

The domino effect is launched as the German green light approaches for the delivery of Leopard tanks to Ukraine. To see more clearly the various information from these last hours, the Guardian took stock.

– United States : Officials claim Washington is preparing to send dozens of its M1 Abrams tanks, going back on its doctrine.

– Germany : Sources indicate that Chancellor Olaf Scholz may authorize the delivery of his Leopard 2 tanks.

– Poland : Warsaw said it was ready to send up to 14 of its Leopard 2 tanks and pressed Berlin to approve the transfer.

– Norway : The government plans to send some of its Leopard tanks, according to the local press.

– Finland : The country has stated that it could also donate a certain number of its Leopard 2 tanks if other European countries promised to do so.

– Spain : ditto for Madrid, who wanted to make their participation conditional on there being prior agreement at European level on the issue.

– United Kingdom : the British government announced on 14 January that it would send a squadron – 14 – of its Challenger 2 main battle tanks.
