Relief, this Sunday, October 30, for the owner of a German Shepherd who found him safe, thanks to the intervention of the Loire firefighters.
It is around 10:15 when the emergency services are called: the dog is stuck on a steep part of the place called La Noirie in Unieux, above rue Henri-Barbusse, which runs along the Loire.
Given the configuration of the premises, the firefighters must call in their specialists from the Reconnaissance and Intervention Group in Hazardous Environments (GRIMP).
A 30 kg dog
The rescuers are working to gain access to the rocks on which the German Shepherd has taken refuge, with no possibility for him to join his owner alone.
Firefighters manage to get the animal, which weighs 30 kg. And return it to its owner.
A dozen firefighters were mobilized for this intervention with a happy ending.
