It is a massively forwarded video that shocked users of the social network Snapchat on Tuesday evening. In the pictures, we see a man in the process of skinning a cat that he had previously killed himself. A complaint was filed Thursday, and the torturer was quickly identified and arrested by investigators from Saint-Avold police station (Moselle), according to information from our colleagues from Republican Lorraine.

The person, a 20-year-old man who lives in the Freyming-Merlebach area (Moselle), admitted the facts when he was in custody. He explained that he executed his animal with a shotgun to the head, then cut it up and posted it all online. While in police custody, the young man explained to investigators that he had done it because the cat had defecated outside the litter box.

4 months imprisonment

The Criminal Court of Sarreguemines (Moselle) sentenced him on Friday to 10 months in prison, including 6 months suspended, reports The Lorraine Republican. The court combined the sentence with an enhanced suspended sentence of two years, a lifetime ban on keeping animals and duties to look after oneself and work.
