Technology continues to evolve, and with it, the emergence of robots. A new project involving dog robots will be set up in Florida.
It is formalized in a statement from the US Department of Defense, the youngest branch of the US military will shortly be deploying “quadruped unmanned ground vehicles”also known as Q-UGV, from the company Ghost Robotics.
These dog-like robots aim to automate “damage assessment and patrol” at Space Force Station Cape Canaveral, Florida. This would save long hours of work.
Q-UGVs have very complex audio and visual communication software, but despite this, they can operate autonomously. However, they can be controlled with manual and audio controls. Ghost Robotics describes these new items of technology as “high endurance, agile and durable land drones”.
