A 9-year-old girl was knocked over on Thursday 27 October 2022 at around 15 by a motorcyclist, who then fled. The accident took place rue du Port, in Caudebec-lès-Elbeuf, near Elbeuf (Seine-Maritime). The little girl was crossing the road in a pedestrian crossing with her father and her brother when a motorcyclist, who was going up a line of cars, knocked her over.

Injured in the knee and face, the little victim was transported to the Feugrais hospital in Saint-Aubin-lès-Elbeuf. The motorcyclist did not stop, but a witness noted his number plate.

No license, no insurance

Police went to his home where they found him repairing his damaged motorcycle.

The 58-year-old man could neither show his driver’s license nor insurance. He was arrested, placed in police custody for causing a bodily injury, fleeing and for not having a driver’s license and insurance.
