“Palestinians form a communication network that intimidates Israeli officials and elites”
A commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Al-Quds Force said this week that “the Palestinian people will ultimately liberate their land from Israeli occupation” and warned the regime that “the era of dirty tricks is over” .
Brigadier General Esmail Qaani issued the warning at a ceremony on Tuesday to celebrate the first birthday of former Iranian ambassador to Yemen Hassan Irloo, who succumbed to Covid-19. “Around 50 operations against Israel are carried out per day in the occupied West Bank alone,” according to Qaani, who also mentioned how “desperate and besieged the Israeli regime is at the moment.” He went on to say that “the Palestinians will soon drive the Israelis out of their territory.”
On the day Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani was assassinated by a US drone strike in Iraq, General Qaani said: “We asked the Israelis to sell their homes and leave Palestine.” “The Palestinians are forming a communications network,” which “scares Israeli officials and elites, who come to believe they are facing an existential threat,” he said.
Iran has stopped sending funds to a number of Palestinian factions, the Palestinian newspaper Al-Quds revealed earlier this month. The newspaper quoted unnamed informed sources in Lebanon as saying that the factions are currently suffering from a financial crisis due to the Iranian decision made three months ago. The sources did not name the factions affected by the decision.
