Spark Avocats advises Iconic Product Collection in the takeover of the company by Terence Capital

The business law firm SPARK AVOCATS advised ICONIC PRODUCT COLLECTION (DESIGNERBOX brand) and its managers in the context of the sale, in receivership, of the publishing activities of design products, gift boxes and its marketplace to the TERENCE CAPITAL group.

The restructuring team of SPARK AVOCATS, led by Pierre Léo JEANMOUGIN, supported Thomas ERHEL and Philippe LEHR in the search for buyers / investors during the call for tenders organized by Maître Joanna ROUSSELET, Judicial Administrator, then in their integration to the TERENCE CAPITAL group.

Through this acquisition, the serial entrepreneur Thierry Le Guenic at the head of the TERENCE CAPITAL group is pursuing his development strategy after the acquisition of Habitat, PAULE KA, Maison Le Jaby, Chantal Thomass… to strengthen his presence in the fashion and decoration and to create synergies between its different brands.

This operation allows Thomas ERHEL and Philippe LEHR, within the TERENCE CAPITAL group, to accelerate the developments initiated 3 years ago:

  • the makers.store marketplace dedicated to eco-responsible decoration and independent European creation (BtoC market);
  • the “lifestyle” gift box offer for businesses (BtoB market);
  • publishing “consumer” design products under the designerbox brand, such as the now iconic ELO lamp or, more recently, the nomadic ORA desk lamp.

Philippe LEHR: 4 star support » ; Thomas ERHEL: “ a dossier handled with tact to avoid conflicts and ensure that things move forward calmly in the right direction “.
