“the defense was not impervious to pain”

“Being a defense lawyer is not being impervious to pain”: master Jean Codognès returned this Tuesday morning at the microphone of France Bleu Roussillon on the three weeks of hearing of the extraordinary trial of the Millas accident which ended on October 5 in Marseille.

The lawyer talks about the still very fragile health of his client, the school bus driver Nadine Oliveira, who is still being treated in a specialized clinic. He also returns to the very particular emotional context of such a trial and the difficulty of developing a defense strategy in such a context.

Judgment, subject to deliberation, will be rendered on November 18.
