Likely scorned for a stray cat, Marley was taken by a motorist and could not be found for several days, causing concern and questions among the staff of the agency that adopted this cat.
An older cat called marley had taken up residence 10 years earlier in the estate agent’s premises Harcourt’s Avonheadat christchurch in New Zealand, and never left again.

Last weekend, witnesses reported seeing a person grab marley to get him into his car in the parking lot of the nearby mall. The driver clearly thought he was dealing with a stray cat, the employees say Harcourt’s Avonhead.

Found and hosted by a resident
The search continued but was unsuccessful until Tuesday 17 January. That morning, the SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) local are contacted Nicola Sturzaker to tell him marley was at the association’s crisis centre.
His interlocutor told him that a lady had picked him up the day before and had taken care of him overnight before bringing him to reception.
Back among his “colleagues”, marley quickly resumed his office habits.
