The elected representatives of the two chambers of the US Congress gave Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky a long ovation on Wednesday at the Capitol in Washington, where he was to give a speech after being received earlier at the White House by Joe Biden.
Mr. Zelensky was to end his day of historic visit to the United States with this solemn statement to the American lawmakers, whom he must convince to continue their funding of vital military aid to the armed resistance in Kiev against the Russian forces.
