Meal tickets case: the file referred to the Economic and Financial Plea
After the hearing of the former Minister of Energy and Mines, Mongi Marzouk, the Court of First Instance of Gafsa decided, Tuesday, August 2, 2022, to refer the so-called restaurant tickets case to the Economic Judicial Pole and financial.
The file, which dates back to 2017, 2018 and 2019, and involves the former minister and the Compagnie des phosphates de Gafsa (CPG) concerns a case of corruption in the granting of a market for restaurant tickets to employees of the company , subsidized by the employer (the CPG a public company) and considered as a salary supplement.
In a statement to Tap, the spokesperson for the Gafsa Court, Halim Abada, explained that the nature of the case was the responsibility of the Economic and Financial Judicial Pole.
Part of the facts having taken place during his mandate as Minister of Energy, Mongi Marzouk was summoned to appear before the Public Prosecutor at the Court of First Instance of Gafsa in the context of this case.
