The Lions are ready to do everything to satisfy the Moroccan public

Tomorrow, Wednesday, November 23, the Atlas Lions will take part in Qatar 2022. They will face Croatia, the 2018 World Cup runners-up.

In a press conference on Tuesday, the national coach, Walid Regragui, promised that his men will do their best to please the Moroccans.

Coach Regragui wanted to be reassuring despite the difficulty of the game, assuring that the Atlas Lions are ready to make sacrifices to make a good campaign and satisfy their crowd.

“We want to play against the vice-world champions and we are ready to give our best (…) We will not be an easy opponent against Croatia”he promised.

With his feet on the ground, the national technician admitted that the meeting will not be easy: “The match will be difficult against the vice-world champion, who has world-class players. This match will be played on small details, but we are ready to do everything to please our supporters”.

However, the coach advised his players not to focus on Luka Modric. “Croatia has top players and a strong squad, but I only focus on the national team and if the players focus on Modric, they will make the biggest mistake.”he warned.

In conclusion, Walid Regragui had these words: “I trust the work we’ve done over the last ten days and we started to see the results in the last game against Georgia.”

The Atlas Lions will need to maintain that confidence as, after this crucial encounter against Croatia, they face an equally difficult team, Belgium, on November 27th, then Canada, on December 1st.
