“The players are ready to die for the country and I told them to stop having complexes”

After Morocco’s theoretical and historic victory over Spain in the round of 16 of the World Cup, Walid Regragui reacted in the mixed zone.

Winning on penalties against Spain, Morocco on Wednesday became the 4th African country to reach the quarter-finals of the World Cup. At the end of the match, his coach Walid Regragui expressed his pride after this historic victory in the history of Moroccan football.

“We have one of the best goalkeepers in the world and we could count on him to take us to the quarter-finals. I am very happy for the players because many of them played injured. But I can assure you that for the country they’re ready to die. We don’t know who we’re going to play yet, but we’re going to rest while we wait to see.” Regragui said before handing over the secret of the Atlas Lion’s performance.

“We have been on a mission from the start, and they understood that we had to stop having complexes. Now we have to rest and from tomorrow we have to go back to work. You have to be ambitious.” promised the former coach of Wydad Athletic at the microphone of Bien Sports.
