They took in the smallest 6-week-old kitten and watched him grow as he formed a special bond with another cat.

Puppet, the kitten, was six weeks old when he arrived at Greenpoint Cats with his mother and brother looking for a better life.
“He was the size of a two-week-old kitten (due to stunted growth). Despite his small size, he had a lot of energy and just wanted to be big and strong like his brother,” Greenpoint Cats said.
Even in rough shape, Puppet had “the vocal pipes of an opera singer” and the fighting spirit of a warrior.

He was admitted to an animal hospital where he could receive round-the-clock care. Soon he woke up with renewed energy and started eating from a plate instead of using a syringe.
“The puppet is still so small and fragile and there is no known cause for his condition.”

The puppet settled in a cozy incubator where he was loved by the staff and accompanied by two snuggle friends. With the right care and good food, he became very active, jumping around and throwing himself at makeshift toys.
A month later, Puppet finally crossed the one-pound mark. Although he was still small, he played with the spirit of a tiger, and the moment he was held, he melted into a puddle.

Marionette and Moppet, Puppet’s mother and brother, are an inseparable pair. “Marionette’s sweet, playful nature complements Moppet’s curious intelligence. Whether cuddling or playing, their interactions show their deep bond.”
While Puppet was fostered by a veterinarian who provided extraordinary care, his mother and brother found their forever homes together.

Puppet’s voracious appetite and zest for life fueled his growth and made him strong. As he regained health and grew from his incubator, his personality really shined. He went wild for toys and couldn’t get enough attention.
They knew he needed a constant friend to match his boundless energy.

They thought of Pop, a little cream kitten who needs a companion. As soon as they met, they hit it off and frolicked as if they had always been litter mates. The puppet was completely satisfied with his new friend, who welcomed him with open paws.
“They’re not brothers, but they absolutely adore each other.”

From that day on, their lives were a whirlwind of play. They became partners in mischief, making all sorts of antiques and filling the house with endless entertainment and laughter.
They wrestled and tumbled until they grew tired and fell asleep in each other’s arms.

They quickly mastered the art of controlling the office chair when it was left unattended. Always looking up to Pop, the puppet followed his lead in all their mischievous adventures. Together they were the perfect couple, stealing both flesh and hearts.
As the two grew into rambunctious young cats, it was getting close to time to move to their new home.

Puppet and Pop have found their forever home together. Just like in the old days, they always lie side by side, like two peas in a pod.
“I cried when I saw new photos of this most memorable round, now all grown up in his forever home with his best friend, Pop.”

He is still small in size, but his spirit is larger than life.
