Belgium is a land of beers, wines and bubbles! There is no need to take your car and drive to Champagne to admire the beauty of the vineyards and taste delicious cuvées, more and more Belgian estates are opening their doors to the curious. In addition to their guided tours and tastings, some vineyards welcome you to their terrace during the summer months. Focus on three ephemeral bar concepts in the middle of the country’s vineyards.
In video, wine merchant Francis Boone’s advice for drinking bubbles:
Agaises vineyard
For several years, the Vignoble des Agaises has been welcoming bon vivants on its large terrace during the months of July and August, on the occasion of the launch of its ephemeral bar, Ruffus en terrasse. The ideal address for toasting, sunbathing, feasting and dancing in the middle of the vineyards. The estate very quickly became the unmissable summer meeting place for the locals. An event that has been so successful that it sometimes causes some traffic jams at the entrance to the estate – a very slight inconvenience that you will instantly forget after tasting their wonderful bubbles. The vineyard has not yet communicated the information concerning this new edition, but we advise you to follow their facebook page to find out all the details of the festivities!

Domaine du Chant d’Éole
Do you remember the fabulous pop-up restaurant that the Domaine du Chant d’Eole opened last year? Between its vines, at the foot of a wind turbine, the estate, which is located in Quévy, at the gates of Mons, had installed an ephemeral restaurant with a fabulous terrace. The establishment is putting the cover back this year and is offering a new edition from May 18 to October 15. Clink glasses with a glass of sparkling wine from the estate – which has received numerous international awards – a local spritz or a good glass of Belgian wine while admiring an exceptional view of the vineyards and its surroundings. Do not leave after the aperitif and prolong this wonderful evening in the bistronomic restaurant which gives pride of place to local ingredients.
The address? Grand Route 58, 7040 Quevy
Between-Deux-Monts
Located in the heart of Heuvelland, near the French border between Mont Rouge and Mont Noir, the Entre-Deux-Monts family estate offers a magnificent bucolic view. This estate has belonged to the same family for three generations! Today, it is Martin Bacquaert who takes care of this family vineyard launched by his grandfather Jean. You can visit the estate alone or in a group, but you can also enjoy its 8000m2 gardens during the summer months thanks to an ephemeral bar called l’Entre-Deux-Verres (hat for the pun!). You can snack on a few aperitifs and savor house wines while being comfortably seated in a deck chair, under the parasols in the garden with a clear view of the Westhoek. Paradise, right? Know that the vineyard has a shop to prolong the pleasure and bring a small piece of the estate home.
The address? Rodebergstraat 69A BE-8954 Westouter (Heuvelland)
