three French people enter the ranking

The list of the 100 best restaurants in the world has just been partially unveiled. The French Flocons de Sel, by Emmanuel Renaut, AM by Alexandre Mazzia and Table by Bruno Verjus are making their debut.

Three French addresses join this year the prestigious list of “Best restaurants in the world”, the famous “World’s 50 best restaurants, which are actually 100. The restaurants which appear from 51st to 100th place were unveiled on Tuesday.

“Table”, a Parisian establishment run by Bruno Verjus, thus entered in 77th place. This is the first time that the restaurant with two Michelin stars has appeared in the British ranking. Bruno Verjus is a chef with an atypical background. A former doctor, he was also a business manager before opening his restaurant in 2013, as a “self-taught chef”, as he describes himself. “Table” now has 2 stars in the Michelin guide.

The Marseille establishment “AM by Alexandre Mazzia”, ​​three stars, enters the 80th place of the British ranking, less than a month after being designated by this same institution “One to watch”, which could be translated as ” leader to follow”.

Finally, the three-star “Flocon de Sel” in Megève, run by the chef, Meilleur Ouvrier de France, Emmanuel Renaut, climbed to 99th place in the ranking.

These three restaurants join other French restaurants in the “50 best” ranking, such as “La Grenouillère” by Alexandre Gauthier at La Madelaine-sous-Montreuil in Pas-de-Calais and “Alléno Paris at Pavillon Ledoyen”, directed by chef Yannick Alléno. The latter went from 41st place to 58th.

The first part of the ranking, which included Arpège and Septime last year, will be unveiled on July 18th.
