This Friday, December 30, seven people lost their lives, including three children, in an explosion caused by gas. The tragedy occurred at a kebab restaurant in western Turkey, local officials said.

“I wish mercy to our seven citizens who lost their lives in the explosion,” the mayor of Nazilli (Aydin province), where the explosion took place, wrote on Twitter.

City council member Özlem Cercioglu clarified on the Habertürk channel that three of the victims were children. Four other people were injured, according to Turkish media, and a person suspected of being behind the accident was arrested, said Bekir Bozdag, the Turkish justice minister.
