Unemployment insurance: time-limited reform (in principle)

France has lost none of its creativity on social issues, regardless of the color of the government at work. The most recent example to date: “the bill on emergency measures in connection with the functioning of the labor market with a view to full employment”. Although the transition to the joint committee will require some skill on the part of the majority, its passage is expected in mid-November. Labor law will then be enriched with a new kind of object: time-limited reform!

This “RDD” is part of Emmanuel Macron’s campaign promises. It benefits from the support (not assumed) from LR and that (fully assumed) from Medef and CPME, where U2P has expressed reservations. The left wing, the RN and the trade unions, on the contrary, condemn an ​​attack on the precarious. The goal is pretty clear. The rules for compensation are not encouraging enough to return to work, according to the government, it is a matter of making them develop according to the economic situation: more incentive when employment is abundant, as at the moment, more protective in the low water period.
