When shelter animals find their forever homes, where they are well cared for and loved, their physical appearance often changes. Healthier and more fulfilled, they radiate and have nothing to do with the animal they once were. Sometimes it is even a real metamorphosis, as is the case in this story reported by Daily Star.

Although the difficulties the canine went through are unknown, his suffering before his adoption is evident in the photos. We discover an animal completely prostrate, very emaciated, sad eyes and with skin very damaged by a disease, probably scabies. The dog seems dejected and drained of her energy.

6 months after finding a loving home, the dog is unrecognizable. His neat skin reveals a healthy coat, his weight is very correct and his ribs are no longer visible. But beyond these physical transformations, it is above all what emerges from the female dog that has changed.

She stands up straight, is “smiling” and seems full of confidence. His ears are erect instead of flat against his head. He is a happy dog, in a pleasant environment with sofa and cushions. A real miracle in such a short time!
The owner of the dog clarifies in the comments that she is in addition “the cutest ever”. And that he doesn’t understand why someone could have neglected her so much. Either way, the canine’s painful past is behind her now!
