Construction machinery is activated at the entrance to Nanteuil-les-Meaux since the beginning of the year. The City is developing a new area on the site of the former Presses de la Cité, at the corner of Avenue de Melun and Avenue François de Tessan.
The area will be developed in two stages, starting with two restaurants, a 3-star hotel, a senior residence and a medical office. It is in this new space that health professionals will settle. They currently occupy a temporary prefabricated room a few meters away.
Volfoni and the 3 Brewers in Nanteuil
The final details have been negotiated with the two catering brands that will be set up in front of the area. “We are going to welcome an Italian restaurant, volfoniand The 3 Brewers“, indicates the mayor of Nanteuil, Régis Sarazin, who insisted that the restaurants not be fast food.
Don’t say you’re going to the pizzeria when you push the door of Volfoni. This Italian restaurant mainly highlights the whole range of Italian gastronomy, pasta of course, but not only. Of course, pizzas are also on the menu.
Installation of Lidl: “we have to work on traffic”
Facing this new area, another project is underway: the transformation of the Tati store into a Lidl supermarket. “It would be good if we all sat around the table to discuss the arrangements”, annoys the mayor of Nanteuil-lès-Meaux. Régis Sarazin points out the inevitable traffic problem on Avenue de Melun, which is already very congested.
“We have been working for a while on the creation of a roundabout, instead of the traffic light intersection. But we would like Lidl to work with us on this point. Their customers, too, will need to go back to Meaux, ”he underlines.
As for the restaurant Les 3 Brasseurs, it is a mixture of a craft brewery and a pub. “Our restaurants are above all micro-breweries : our beers are homemade, made before your eyes, and you taste them directly from the aging tank”, indicates the restaurant on its website. As for the cuisine, the menu offers flamekueche, sauerkraut, beer-based cuisine or traditional brasserie dishes.
The opening of the restaurants should take place after the start of the 2023 school year.
