Seven social and solidarity loans were signed this Tuesday, July 3, at the Municipal Center for Social Action (CCAS) in Saint-Denis, in the presence of Ericka Bareigts, President of the CCAS of Saint-Denis and David Belda, Delegate President of the CCAS. This initiative, which offers the opportunity to borrow €2,500 at 0 interest, is concrete support for Dionysiens who want to start their professional activity.
The moment is solemn, the stakes are high: these seven entrepreneurs have just signed a social and solidarity loan at 0 rate with Ericka Bareigts, mayor and president of CCAS in Saint-Denis and David Belda, vice president. Thanks to this 2500€ they will be able to start their business.
This support is specifically aimed at people who have difficulty entering the traditional labor market and who have a business creation project. These loans are designed to help promising professional projects, thanks to a little help to start or develop an activity.
Whether it is the purchase of equipment, tools, supplies or the acquisition of specialized skills, these loans will allow recipients to equip themselves with the necessary resources to realize their ideas and achieve their goals. The paths do not lack spice: a jewelry repairer will be able to work better thanks to an investment in his new machine, the daily life of a restaurateur will be simplified thanks to a professional cold room, a home delivery person will buy a new electric bicycle…
The signing of the loans took place in the boardroom of CCAS in Saint-Denis and brought together talented and ambitious project managers. Ericka Bareigts, in her capacity as Mayor of Saint-Denis and President of CCAS, emphasized the importance of this initiative for Dionysians, saying: “We are proud to support these project managers by offering them a concrete opportunity to realize their entrepreneurial aspirations. These are wonderful and important projects for our city. These social and solidarity loans are a real stepping stone to allow them to flourish professionally and contribute to the economic development of our city.“.
Support the creation of a company
David Belda, Vice President of CCAS, also expressed his enthusiasm for this initiative, saying: “As CCAS, it is our duty to support people who are far from employment and give them the necessary funds to start a new activity. These social and solidarity loans are a concrete measure to promote economic and social inclusion in our city.“
And there are these women and men, bearers of projects: A mother of three children talks about the precarious situation she was in until she started her activity as a massage therapist at home on a chair. She took out this loan last year and it allowed her to invest in the mobile and ergonomic chair. “It changed everything“, she declares.
Saint-Denis CCAS plays a key role in identifying and selecting qualified project managers and supporting them throughout the process. In addition to facilitating loans, CCAS will provide ongoing support, including training and career guidance. This global approach aims to maximize the beneficiaries’ chances of success and to strengthen their long-term employability.
This social and solidarity initiative, unique in Reunion, shows the commitment of CCAS in Saint-Denis in favor of economic and social inclusion. By enabling people who are far from employment to realize their entrepreneurial ambitions, it contributes to the emergence of a dynamic and inclusive local economy.
The social and solidarity loans signed today mark the start of a new chapter for project managers in Saint-Denis. They also testify to the desire of CCAS and its partners to work together to strengthen the autonomy of individuals and promote the economic development of the territory.
