The story told this morning by our colleagues from La Dépêche is of absolute violence and total horror. Liam, a mastiff, boxer and staff cross, escaped death this Saturday morning, around 6 a.m., in eastern Toulouse. The pet’s owner took her into the woods. Armed with an axe, he struck her in the skull and muzzle several times and left her for dead.
Our colleagues from La Dépêche specify: “But Liam’s instinct for survival allowed him, despite his serious injuries, to take refuge in a nearby barn where she was recovered and brought to a veterinarian. The latter delivered a worrying diagnosis. The dog had broken skull bones and sinuses. She had several gashes on her body.”
The poor dog between life and death was then operated on urgently to try to save her life, with success.
The association “Les 4 pattounes”, filed a complaint “for acts of abuse and cruelty” towards an animal.
