(Reuters) – Atlanta Federal Reserve Chairman Raphael Bostic has yet to determine whether the U.S. central bank should raise its main interest rate by 50 or 75 basis points at the monetary policy meeting. in September, he said in an interview with The Wall Street Journal.

Raphael Bostic told the financial daily that the Fed still had some way to go this year in raising rates and that it was too early to say that the surge in inflation had peaked.

He estimates that growth in the United States should be around 2% this year before slowing in 2023, between 0.5% and 1%.
