An appearance that puts off potential adopters

Like many purebred dogs Westies, Jay suffered from many allergies. The arrival of Jay in a new home had to follow specific requests. In addition to making sure to give him his medication and put him on a special diet, the dog should not be put in contact with carpeted floors, as these caused him to flare up allergies. In addition, he needed a fenced garden and a home without other animals, in order to be able to give him all the attention he needed.

The members of RSPCA were well aware that all these requests could curb its adoption, but they did everything to reassure potential adopters. Videos about Facebookpublications on Twitter, they mobilized as best they could to put an end to the interminable stay of this dog in need of love. “He is absolutely adorable and will make a wonderful pet or companion for the right person.“, said Carmen.
Their efforts finally paid off
Last May, a year and 3 months after arriving at the shelter, Jay finally crossed paths with his new family. He joined the home of Cornelis and Sharon, eager to offer him a new life adapted to his needs. The little white dog is now living happy days there.
