Tinder commits

For some years, Tinder does not hesitate to engage on many social topics. If you think it was just a dating app, you’re kidding yourself.

First, from May 24 to August 31, 2022, Tinder launched a campaign to raise awareness about thethe LGBT+ community. All with the SOS group.

“All Tinder members in France between the ages of 18 and 25 will see several Swipe Cards appear in the app that will direct them to information resources published by the SOS Group on sexual health issues”explained the app via a press release.

With this campaign, Tinder highlights the violence suffered by LGBT + people. Indeed, according to Public Health France, 25% of people in this community have suffered in the last twelve months.

But that’s not all ! The app has also partnered with “1 young person 1 solution”. The goal ? Helping young people find a summer job.

The principle was the same. Between June 9 and July 31, 2022, Swipe Cards were available on the app and took 1 young person to the site 1 solution.

In short, Tinder doesn’t shy away from engaging with social issues. So, on the occasion of National Dog Week in the United States, the app has launched a new campaign to defend the animal cause. MCE TV tells you more!

A campaign to defend the animal cause

From September 17 to 24, 2022, the United States celebrated national dog week. For the occasion, Tinder has decided to wink at it.

The dating app has therefore created filters that are as adorable as they are message carriers. Its filters were intended to defend the animal cause.

Thus, thanks to its filters, it was possible to show a dog to adopt in profile picture of those who use them. But that’s not all !

In addition, a banner with all the information about the animal in question (age, region, refuge, etc.) is added to your profile. In short, everything is in place to match this little ball of fur with his future foster family.

Furthermore, filters could be created directly from the app meeting or on the dedicated site RescueMatches. In short, Tinder had thought of everything.

Finally, in addition to helping abandoned animals, users could find their advantage in it. In fact, according to a survey by Honest Paws, 60% of people are more likely to swipe right when an animal appears in one of the photos.

“Help a dog get a home and he’ll help you get a date”was the campaign slogan. You understand, it’s give-and-take !

It remains to be seen which causes will defend the app that just celebrated its tenth anniversary in the future. So it’s a case to follow!
