He had lost track of his dog, Prune, during a hunting trip to Saint-Léger in Charente-Maritime in early January. Mickaël Gaudin has just found her in a refuge… in Holland.
Mickaël Gaudin’s efforts have borne fruit. On Thursday, January 19, the owner of Prune, an Anglo-French dog, found his animal in a shelter in the Netherlands. The dog had been missing since January 7 during a hunting trip to Saint-Léger (Charente-Maritime), says Southwest.
It must be said that Mickaël spared nothing. After the disappearance of his animal, the hunter subscribes to all the lost animal accounts on social networks in France. But also in Europe. A fortunate decision to say the least, because it is on a Dutch group – Rescue Team Pajot VZW – that the French will find the traces of Prune. After contacting the moderator, Mickaël immediately went to the Netherlands. No less than “26 hours’ journey” will be necessary for him to recover his animal.
Complaint for theft
On the spot, he finds that his dog is in a critical condition. asked by Southwesttells the owner of the dog that the latter bears “marks of violence on her head. (…) She was emaciated. They told me at the shelter that she arrived completely dehydrated”.
For the hunter from Charente-Maritime, there is no doubt: his dog was stolen. According to Mickaël, a dog like Prune can sell for several hundred euros. He filed a complaint for theft.
