Investing.com – US: Stocks ended the session mixed on Wednesday; the increase in the , , and sectors contributed to this increase, while the decrease in the , , and sectors had a downward effect on prices.
At the close on the NYSE, the index was up 0.03%, while the index was down 0.02% and the index was down 0.18%.

The top performers of the S&P 500 index go to MarketAxess Holdings Inc (NASDAQ: ), which gains 10.25% to trade at 363.28, Capital One Financial Corporation (NYSE: ) gained 8.99% to 116.09 and Warner Bros Discovery Inc (NASDAQ: ) rose 8.59% to close at 14.53.
The worst performers were Nextera Energy Inc (NYSE: ), which fell 8.71% to 76.59 at the close, Nasdaq Inc (NASDAQ: ), which lost 5.85% to 58.30 and Intuitive Surgical Inc. (NASDAQ: ), down 5.50% to close at 243.80.
The best performance of the NASDAQ Composite index goes to Minerva Surgical Inc (NASDAQ: ) which gains 65.90% to a price of 0.38, Alvarium Tiedemann Holdings Inc (NASDAQ: ) up 65.41% at 15.40 and GeoVax Labs Inc (NASDAQ: ) which gains 58.89% to a closing price at 1.11.
The worst performing values are Grom Social Enterprises Inc (NASDAQ: ) fell 35.63% to 2.06 at the close, Helbiz Inc (NASDAQ: ) which lost 29.76% to 0.29 and Waitr Holdings Inc (NASDAQ: ), down 27.79% to 0.42 at the close.
Advancers outpaced decliners on the New York Stock Exchange by 1,648 values to 1,383 and 134 flat; on NASDAQ, 1923 values recorded an increase and 1735 recorded a decrease, 181 remained unchanged.
The stock of Alvarium Tiedemann Holdings Inc (NASDAQ: ) soared to a record high after gaining 65.41% or 6.09 points to trade at 15.40.
The index, which measures the implied volatility of S&P 500 index options, fell 0.63% to 19.08.
On the other hand, gold for delivery in February rose 0.60% or 11.70 points to $1.00 per troy ounce. Among other commodities, Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.46% or 0.37 points at $80.50 a barrel while Brent for March delivery was up 0.29% or 0.25 points at a at $86.38 per barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.28% at 1.09, while USD/JPY was down 0.46% at 129.55.
The US Dollar Index fell 0.27% to 101.40.
