Tallulah found a safe place to give birth to her kittens, but she wasn’t out of the woods yet. She suffered from an infection that could have cost her her life, but thanks to her guardian angels, today she is a perfectly fulfilled ball of fur.
Soft Talulah arrived at the volunteers of Best Friends Felines, an Australian association, in mid-December. This cat was about to give birth, and needed the chance to do so in a safe place.
Within days, babies off Talulah came into the world: kittens all cuter than one another. The volunteers expected to have to pay close attention to all these newborns, but very soon it is the state of the mother’s health that will worry them.
A very weak hairball
” Tallulah didn’t eat as much as she should. She didn’t clean her babies properly. We did everything to help him ” said the volunteers according to Love Meow.
Despite this, the mother cat was so feverish that she had to be hospitalized. Talulah suffered from a serious infection and was operated on very quickly. Meanwhile, a good Samaritan is called Elke worked day and night to take care of her babies.
Talulah returned to her kittens shortly after her surgery. ” She was very thin and had just experienced a traumatic event. ” remember the members of Best Friends Felines. And yet, all this mother wanted was to join her little charges…
still weakened, Talulah was unable to produce milk. Still, she had regained enough strength to cuddle and wash them, much to the delight of the little feline family.
The cat has finally got the animal’s hair back
A couple of days later, Talulah finally managed to breastfeed. ” It was a happy moment for everyone declared the volunteers. Thanks to all their efforts, the mother cat and her kittens are now healthy and can finally move on!

A few weeks ago, the future of Tallulah was unsure. Today, the cat with voracious appetite is perfectly satisfied with her babies, whom she enjoys watching grow and play in the 4 corners of their cozy nest.
