his lawyer regrets a file “in charge”

The lawyer for singer Jean-Luc Lahaye, indicted and imprisoned on Friday in particular for suspicion of rape and sexual assault on two minors, regretted on Saturday that “all the investigations” were “carried out against”.

Jean-Luc Lahaye, 68, was indicted on Friday by an investigating judge of the Paris court for “rape, sexual assault of minors over 15, corruption of a minor” and abuse of weakness.

On the other hand, he was placed under the more favorable status of assisted witness for “possession of a child pornography image”.

A judge of freedoms and detention (JLD) then ordered his detention.

“All the investigations were carried out against”

“I regret this decision, which is however not surprising insofar as it is based on a file in which all the investigations were carried out for the prosecution”, indicated Me David Apelbaum, who defends the singer with Me Camilla Quendolo.

“The judicial information will help restore the truth,” he added, without making further comments. Me Apelbaum had announced, at the start of the hearing before the JLD, that the star of the 80s disputed the alleged facts.

Jean-Luc Lahaye was arrested on Wednesday morning, then heard in police custody for forty-eight hours on the premises of the Central Office for the Suppression of Violence against Persons (OCRVP).

He is suspected of sexually assaulting two teenage girls, then between the ages of 15 and 17, from 2013.

The mothers of the young girls would have encouraged them to these relations

The young girls, born in 1998 and 2000, had filed a complaint against the interpreter of “Papa singer”, then had retracted before filing a new complaint at the beginning of the year, leading to the opening of an investigation by the parquet.

Among the two complainants is the teenager to whom Jean-Luc Lahaye had asked to indulge in sexual games by webcam, when she was 15 and 16 years old. He had been sentenced for these facts to a one-year suspended prison sentence on May 18, 2015 for corruption of a minor.

One of the variety singer’s daughters, suspected of having pressured the complainants to keep quiet, as well as the mothers of the teenage girls, were also arrested on Wednesday. Their police custody was lifted, without prosecution at this stage.

The mothers allegedly encouraged their daughters to have relations with Mr. Lahaye and then asked them to conceal the facts.
