Two young people aged 12 and 18 violently beat a security guard at the Westfield Euralille shopping center in Lille. The assault took place at Burger King Restauranton the evening of Saturday July 2, 2022.
Kicks, punches and blows to the head
Surge of violence on Saturday evening at the Burger King fast food restaurant in Euralille. A security guard from the restaurant chain was beaten up during his service by two young people. One of them is a minor, only 12 years old, while the other has recently come of age.
We do not know the reasons that led the two young people to show violence. But, according to the Lille police, called to intervene on the spot, the two defendants “punched, kicked and hit the head with a bag that contained a bottle of perfume” . It was this last blow that caused a bleeding wound in the victim’s head.
The 49-year-old security guard had to be taken to Saint-Vincent-de-Paul hospital for treatment.
As for the defendants, the 18-year-old was taken into custody. The 12-year-old minor was handed over to the head of the home where he is staying. The teenager had just run away from this home when he was arrested.
