La Grenouillère restaurant is back in the influential “50 Best Restaurants” ranking, which each year distinguishes the best restaurants in the world. Chef Alexandre Gauthier and his team go from 91st to 61st place.
The restaurant at La Madelaine-sous Montreuil is once again one of the 100 best restaurants in the world. By occupying 61st place in the ranking this year, the starred establishment has made a fine rise of 30 places. This ranking is established each year after consultation with more than 1,000 kitchen professionals. It is published in the British journal Restaurant.
Eight award-winning French restaurants
Rasmus Kofoed, Danish chef of the restaurant Geranium, takes first place this year. Last year, he came in second place. The podium is completed by the Central, in Peru, and the Disfrutar, in Barcelona, Spain. Eight French restaurants are on the list, including the Parisian restaurant Septime, which occupies 22nd place.
