July is coming to an end. This is the moment of the crossover between the Juillettists and the Augustians. These two months are synonymous with holidays in many countries. What about Cameroon, Germany, the United States and Japan?
– In Cameroon, it’s vacation time.
– After two years of restrictions, the Germans have found their way back to vacation. And for them, holidays = sun abroad.
– In the United States, we are far from the long weeks of vacation. Generally, American employees only have a few days of paid vacation. It’s a very different work culture.
– The Japanese don’t take vacations in the summer. Except in mid-August when they take advantage of obon, the Buddhist festival of the dead, to take two or three days off.
