Since the global lifting of Covid-related restrictions, the beer market has experienced strong growth. In France, we have seen an increase of 51%, i.e. a growth of 12 points since 2021. But what are the ten most successful beers in the world? While the first three brands in the ranking are unavoidable, other brands still little known to the general public also take the lion’s share, such as the Mexican lager Modelo Especial, ranked in fifth place, or the Chinese lager Snow (6th). It is closely followed by the brewer Dutch Heineken, which represents 6.80 billion euros, and the Budweiser brand (belonging to the Belgian-Brazilian brewing group Anheuser-Busch InBev), valued at 5.52 billion euros.

Alongside these brands, craft beer – a movement that emerged in the United States in the 1980s – continues to dig its furrow. This sector now weighs 11% on the American market. A phenomenon that has since spread to Canada, the United Kingdom and France. In 2020, craft beer already represented 7 to 8% of the French market and, in 2021, there were around 2,000 craft breweries in France. So who will win the battle?
