A kind person took in two kittens, leading them to find the best outcome they could have ever imagined.

Sara Sharp, the founder of the Community Cat Club, rescued these two little kittens who needed critical care. “These guys came to us emaciated, cold and sick,” said the rescue.
Their feral mother was unable to care for them and they had already lost two siblings when Sara and her team intervened. Despite being so small and malnourished, these two fought hard to live.
“They were half the size they should have been and had to be tube fed for the first two days,” Sara said.

Through Sara’s dedicated care, the fragile kittens, Kraut and Pierogi, come back to life.
Once they started bottle feeding, they gained weight and strength all the time. In just two weeks, they became plump and active, proudly showing off their round bellies after every meal.

The kittens were too young to regulate their body temperatures and relied on the incubator to stay warm and comfortable.
At the sight of their foster mother, they stood up and leaned against the incubator, anxiously awaiting their next feed. After weeks of around-the-clock care and lots of TLC, they outgrew their incubator and were ready to explore the world outside.

Kraut and Pierogi continued to thrive as bottle-fed babies, taking their time to wean until they were six weeks old.
“They were still on the smaller side as they were so malnourished in their first two weeks of life, so I didn’t want to rush them into anything.”

When the kittens had their first taste of wet food, they were delighted and couldn’t get enough.
Despite the odds against them when they first arrived, they never gave up and drew strength and comfort from each other throughout their journey. “They needed a lot of care, but thankfully they managed.”

With the kittens ready for their next chapter, Sara and her team set out to find them a loving home together. It was then that they discovered the perfect family they had been hoping for.
“I have a 17-year-old cat, Ace. I told my husband that when it’s his time to go to heaven, I want a brother and sister cat,” the adopter shared. Days later, she came across a post from Tori Deal, who had cared for Kraut and Pierogi for the last stretch of their foster care journey.

“I told my husband that I think that might be the point, and although he was hesitant, he ended up going along.”
Just before the holidays, the couple welcomed the feline siblings into their loving home. Although they were initially apprehensive about how Ace would react, their worries quickly dissipated – it turned out to be the best outcome.

“Now Ace sleeps next to them on the sofa and in my bed. I think they brought him even more happiness. They are such sweet little kitties and love each other so much.”
“Kraut and my dog Darla play all the time and Pierogi is obsessed with food. She always wants to eat. They both get so excited when I come home and run right up to me. They fit our family perfectly. and fit right in in.”

Kraut and Pierogi have come a long way since their days as sickly little kittens. Now they race around the house, never far from each other, enjoying every moment with their dream family.
