Adeline opens a boarding house for cats, the first in this district

See my news

“Everyone wants to be a cat, because when a cat is a cat, it lands on its feet. » The melody of this famous song, taken from the film The Aristocatsinevitably comes to mind when reading the name of the new cat boarding house that has just opened in Croix-Rousse.

“Become a Cat”, it is the first daycare in the 4th arrondissement of Lyon where it is possible to leave your cat for the holidays. Under the supervision and caress of Adeline, a great cat enthusiast, the animals are guaranteed not to miss anything.

Strong demand between Caluire, Croix-Rousse and Lyon 1er

“Before, I only looked after cats at home. It gave me the opportunity to research the market for my pension project and locate the areas where demand was greatest. I thus realized that 42% of my clients were in Caluire, Croix-Rousse and Lyon 1er,” explains this former employee in the industry, now retrained with his ACACED in his pocket (certificate of knowledge for livestock business). .

Cat trees, litter boxes, fountains, games, comfy cushions and friends: everything is there to ensure everyone’s stay goes as smoothly as possible. The hostess is also present 7 days a week, every morning and for several hours the rest of the day.

18 euros per day with bedding and feed pellets

The conditions and prices are roughly the same as in other pensions: 18 euros per day with bedding and food included and a stay that does not exceed one month so that the cats do not take over the territory.

“It’s an ultra-simple system. I wanted people not to bring billions of things, but just hand over their cat,” explains Adeline.

In total, it can accommodate up to 30 chats simultaneously. A hell of a job for one and the same person, which doesn’t deter the young woman who delights in rolling up her sleeves for her furballs. “I’ve always loved cats, and they pay me back. I have a real feeling with them. For me, it’s a dream job,” she confides.
