Axa Excelium is a multi-support life insurance contract insured by Axa France Vie and Axa Assurances Vie Mutuelle. This contract is distributed by Axa’s network of paid salespeople. With high fees, but mostly largely discounted (fees on payments), this contract gives a large place to Eurofunds and its financial offer is relatively broad. It also allows you to invest in the Axa Eurocroissance fund. However, this contract is very poorly provided in ETFs as well as in real estate (only 2 dying OPCIs and 1 private equity fund).
Highlights
- Safe euro support : The Axa Excelium contract offers a safe euro fund, guaranteed by Axa, which offers protection of invested capital and stable remuneration.
- Diversified unit of account : In addition to the Eurofund, the Axa Excelium contract provides access to a wide range of units of account, allowing customers to diversify their investments and benefit from the growth potential of the stock market. Axa Excelium offers more than 150 units of account, including shares, bonds, real estate funds and managed funds.
- Profiled or tailored management : Customers can choose between profiled management, with 5 predefined management options based on their risk profile, or tailored management for personal support.
- Flexible Arbitrage options : The Axa Excelium contract allows free arbitrage between euro funds and units of account, giving clients great flexibility to manage their asset allocation.
- Comprehensive heritage services : Axa offers a full range of wealth services, such as legal and tax assistance, property management and wealth transfer.
Property supports
This Axa Excelium contract does not stand out in the real estate offer offered to savers. Only 3 property supports are offered, including 2 OPCIs in decline:
- OPCI AXA Selectiv’ Immo (this real estate collective investment organization is invested in residential, commercial and office).
- OPCI AXA Selectiv’ Immoservice.
- FCPR AXA Avenir Infrastructure (to invest in infrastructure).
Disadvantages of the Axa Excelium contract
- High fees : Axa Excelium policy fees, such as entry fees, administration fees and arbitration fees, can be high compared to other life insurance policies.
- Property backers: The financial offer regarding property backers is far too small: only 2 OPCIs (which the market is turning away from) and 1 Private Equity fund.
- No ETF: Offering a life insurance policy without an ETF is now a major disadvantage. Number of savers who want to reduce management fees associated with their investments.
- Euro support : The Eurofund’s returns are not among the best on the market. They remain below the market average (without taking into account return bonus operations, subject to investment conditions in units of account).
