Current themes. Students who use qualitative methods to provide concrete solutions to the problems faced by banks and insurance companies. Six students from the Popular University of Côte d’Ivoire (UPCI) submitted their master’s thesis to a jury chaired by Professor Emmanuel Aka Brou, Full Professor of Economics at the Félix Houphouët Boigny University of Cocody and composed by Prof. Séraphin Prao, Associate Professor of Economics at Alassane Ouattara University of Bouaké, Dr. Eugène Kamalan and Dr. Omer Kouakou. It was Wednesday, June 5, 2024, in the said establishment in Yopougon-Millionnaire.
The second, Sekongo Weloritcha dealt with the theme: “Development of insurance and private credit: the role of the structure of the banking market”. The student emphasized the connection between the development of insurance and banking development, taking into account the structure of the market. Less talkative than the first, he got 14/20.
The other four, Kouadio Kouassi Benjamin, N’Guessan Koffi Kan Anicet, Adamou Yaye Issoufou and Sy Savané El Hadji Amara also convinced the jury of the relevance of their work.
Séraphin Prao, principal of UPCI, also invited banking and insurance circles to pay attention to what is being done in his company. Because, he emphasized, UPCI is at the forefront of training with up-to-date curricula. A position shared by Prof Emmanuel Aka Brou who congratulated the students for their desire to innovate to attract the labor market. Six other defenses will take place on Thursday, June 6, 2024.
